Dear Christian: Did God Fail You?

I know you guys hear about the story of Job and might reduce that story to “ Not my life, so its not my problem and what happened to Job was a specific situation so lets move on, please“ Well… that’s what I did before I actually started studying the reason for Jobs’ story in the bible. Why did God choose the life of Job, when I’m sure there were others that were just as devoted as Jobs’? Job was so righteous that he accepted the good and the bad equally. (Job 2:10)? There is something to say about accepting not only good from God (John 10:11) but also accepting the bad as well (Isaiah 45:7). In the story it reads that Job’s life changed after he prayed to God (Job 1:5). I’m sure there was a period of time from his prayer to the time destruction started happening in his life, but I digress. His cattle dying and his children dying were not part of his prayer or his plan, but it was a part of God’s plan. Why? Why would God let bad things happen and if God controls all things (Ephesians 1:11) then why doesn’t He just only allow good and not evil? Other than reaping what you sowed (Job 4:8) I don’t see any other reason for bad things to happen. But evil seems to happen randomly and you look over your life, as Job looked over his life, and find that you’re still not able to find a reason for the evil in your life. (Job 3:26)

Lets first remove what we did and what we might have caused by considering John 3:18, where the bible states that we condemn ourselves. For example if someone kills five people then that same logic that would put that man/woman in jail is the same logic that could send you to Hell. Also understand that God does not willing inflict (Lamentations 3:33).
So let’s get to the real question, “why does evil happen and therefore create the starving, the sick or the rape victim”? I mean what causes evil to happen when we don’t bring it on ourselves?
This question is answered at the end. Job had to be corrected in his thinking that he had a higher morality than God. Because, although its true that Job was righteous, he still needed to be saved…saved from pride. Like in Matthew 19:21 and Luke 18:22, righteousness does not equal perfection. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Jesus had to show up in the old testament.Salvation is more about humility than anything else. It about going to God and saying"I need help, and only God can help me". So, to sum up everything, we need God. In fact God’s power is made perfect in weaknesses( 2 Corinthians 12:9). We need to know not only how to be righteous but also how to be perfect and perfection only comes through Salvation, which is Jesus Christ.
Too much, not enough? Let me know what you think.www.thesalvationseries.wix.com/butterflypublishing

Generational Curse

In Exodus 34:7 God states that he will visit the iniquities of the father on the children up to the fourth generation of those who hate Him.
But wait…. Didn’t Jesus forgive all sin? How can there be a curse when all has been forgiven? In Matthew 5:17, Jesus states that he did not come to abolish the law. So the old testament is still relevant and the contract was verified by Jesus with his words and by the prophets of the new testament. I mean, why would God proclaim his logic only to abolish it later? Jeremiah 31:31 states that there will be a new covenant that will be written on our hearts. Meaning we should know right from wrong-what we call today morality. The Holy Spirit guides us to do right so that we don’t break the commands that God has set which were enforced by Jesus. It’s your conscience saying" that doesn’t sound, look, taste, feel or smell right. Let’s be clear we will die for our own sins but, while living, we also can be visited by the same demons that your ancestors opened the door to.
So what’s the answer? Generational curses exist and can only expire through repentance. Repentance for your sins and the asking for repentance because of those precedents that were set by the ancestors before you. Closing the door left open by your ancestors before you. Exodus 20:6 states that God does show mercy even when you are cursed-mercy that is available at all times through Jesus Christ.
Please, understand that you will be tested, but the test is only a way to close the door to that sin so that your children would not be visited by this curse.
